What was your favorite memory from your destination wedding?
“Our favorite memory of our destination wedding was having all of our closest friends and family together for an entire week! We had 60 guests fly in from all over the country to spend our wedding week with us and it was definitely something I will never forget. My husband and I moved to Texas about 3 years ago so we miss out on a lot of family gatherings but having everyone together for a week just for us was absolutely amazing! And everyone had a blast which made it even better!”
Describe your wedding style:
“We definitely wanted a beachy theme but also wanted to keep things as traditional as possible. We had our ceremony on the beach which was absolutely beautiful but then we all came inside for a reception at a restaurant which kept things a little more formal. It was definitely a nice mix.”
Describe your favorite detail of your wedding:
“I think my favorite detail of the wedding was the set-up outside at the beach. During the very beginning stages of planning I found a picture on Pinterest of a beach wedding setting with purple fabrics and purple and pink flowers and absolutely fell in love. My florist was able to recreate this for me and I loved the way it came out.”
Tell us about your experience working with Modern Destination Weddings:
“We had such a great experience working with Modern Destination Weddings. I have a very type A personality and wanted to plan everything almost a year in advance and Heather really helped me plan the things I needed to plan and realize when I needed to take a step back and wait. She helped set up conference calls with the hotel, helped me deal with an at first very unresponsive florist, and helped get all my guests situated which took a lot off of our plate. She even met with me in person when I was feeling extra overwhelmed. I am very grateful for all of her hard work and would definitely recommend Modern Destination Weddings!”
